Link Card
A link-card widget is a single labeled link with an icon, title, URL preview, and arrow — the building block of any link-in-bio page. WidgetCraft's Link Card widget renders as a tappable card pasteable into Notion, link-tree pages, personal sites, or anywhere you want a styled outbound link.
Link Card is one of WidgetCraft's identity primitives — a clean, single-purpose card for one external link. Configurable icon (emoji or symbol), display title, and URL — the whole card is clickable and opens in a new tab. Use it as the 'visit my Substack' card on a portfolio page, the 'book a call' card next to a Bio widget, or as a row in a stack of multiple link cards. The widget renders entirely from URL params with no API calls, so it's fast, cacheable, and works offline once loaded.
Questions, answered.
How do I set the icon?
Pass any emoji or single character via the inspector's Icon field, or `?icon=✦` in the URL. Common picks: ✦ for personal sites, ↗ for outbound, 📩 for contact, 🛒 for shop. If you leave it empty the card renders without an icon.
Where does the link open?
In a new tab (target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer') so the host page (Notion, Obsidian, your site) doesn't get navigated away. The user comes back to your page when they close the new tab.
Can I stack multiple link cards?
Yes. Drop multiple Link Card widgets stacked vertically. For a denser layout, use the Link Grid widget instead (coming soon) which handles multiple links in a grid in a single embed.
Does it follow the page's theme?
Yes — Link Card honors the universal style controls (background, accent color, text color, corner radius, border, shadow, padding, font family). Match it to the surrounding host page or stand it out as a CTA.
Is the URL tracked?
Not by us — Link Card just renders an anchor tag with the URL you provided. No analytics, no click counter, no UTM injection. If you want tracking, use a URL shortener that supports it (Bitly, Linktree, etc.) and put the shortened URL in the field.

Yes. WidgetCraft widgets are free to embed and customize.
